Talia D'Arque (pronounced 'dark') is a 17 year old third-year student in House Hendrake and something of a fringe member of the 'in-crowd'. She plays seeker on the Hendrake Quidditch team and has just been appointed captain this year. Talia is 5'4" tall and weighs 100 lb. She has long straight black hair, and hazel eyes.

Talia is the heir to House D'Arque, one of the myriad of minor houses that arose out of the ashes of the original Chaosian House Hendrake. House D'Arque provides mercenaries to other Houses. Not large enough to maintain a large standing army, D'Arque specializes in providing military specialists and small units of elite troops. Although small, House D'Arque is generally well regarded by other houses and prides itself on its professionalism.

Talia has a reputation as a very serious-minded student (although some might use the phrase 'typical Hendrake tightass'). Athletically gifted, she maintains decent (although not brilliant) grades in her more academic subjects through determination and application. She excels in martial studies and is generally regarded as being Benedict's pet, even to the extent of him giving her private tuition in swordsmanship.

Talia has a pet falcon named Freya. She wields a slender, eleven-inch rosewood wand. Her most famous possession amongst the other students is a custom-made broomstick named 'the Fury', which is the envy of most other Quidditch players.
