House Grigori is supposedly descended from the Houses of Sawall and Hendrake. It has risen to prominence not by assassination ( thought that doubtless happens ), but by canny political opportunism, and a seemingly uncanny ability to produce and acquire wealth -- whether in hard goods or Shadow Ways and real estate. The future of the House is closely watched, as there are several children in Line for Succession to Lord or Lady of the House, and most expect it to get bloody after the current Lord passes...which should not be for some time.
